HSG Entrepreneurial Talents

Through the support of University St.Gallen, we offer scholarships to young entrepreneurs. The Metrohm-Stiftung scholarships for young entrepreneurs include a financial and an intangible component for a period of four months.

HSG Entrepreneurial Champions

We select the best five Entrepreneurial talents (five persons not teams) from the past years – our Entrepreneurial Champions – and make an exciting trip to the unique Silicon Valley startup ecosystem. Together with swissnex San Francisco we plan a week full of workshops, Startup visits and exchange opportunities.

HSG Spin-Off Label

The university of St.Gallen issues a spin-off label under the supervision of the Center for Entrepreneurship. The label represents a signal of innovation, credibility, accountability as well as sustainability and is built on the knowledge transfer of the University of St.Gallen.

Requirements

  • Current student of University of St.Gallen in founding team
  • Idea is technology and/or knowledge-intensive
  • Idea is in accordance with law/moral/ethical values
  • Events are attended by at least one founding member
  • Team/startup is still rather early-stage
  • Attendance commitment to 80% of events
    • Attendance of Kickoff event is mandator

Important Dates

  • Announcement of the participants: 26.09.2022
  • Kick-Off Event: 27.09.2022 (5 – 7 p.m.)
  • Duration of program: one semester (semester week 2-10)
  • Events: 1-2 per week (1.5 hours in the evening)

Goals & Framework

  • The students get a taste for what it means to swim in the big Silicon Valley pond. Big pond but lots of shiny fish. Learn how to swim like them and hustle like a pro!
  • Prior to the trip to Silicon Valley, the students formulate milestones for their companies as if they would tackle the US market for real (fill in the application for an internationalization camp). Depending on that, daily hustler tasks will be formulated.
